West recently celebrated its annual Women Empowering Students of Tomorrow event that celebrates 8th grade girls and connects them with female leaders in the Brockton community.
Former students and women in the community come to West each spring for this tradition, and this year's theme was "drowning out the drama," with speakers including Superintendent Tahiliani, Police Chief Brenda Perez and others spoke about what the topic means to them.
This year, for the first time, the event was catered by students in the Brockton High School culinary program!
